PARTICULATE MATTER NAAQS REVIEW: INTEGRATED SCIENCE ASSESSMENT

Particulate matter (PM) is a complex mixture of extremely small particles and liquid droplets. PM is one of six common air pollutants for which EPA has issued air quality criteria and established national ambient air quality standards (NAAQS).

The integrated science assessment (ISA) is one of the four major elements of the PM NAAQS review process.

The ISA will provide a concise evaluation, integration and interpretation of the most policy-relevant scientific information on the health and environmental effects of PM....
