More nests is good news for loggerheads

Steve Newell on Aug. 7 shows where a marker has been put next to a loggerhead turtle nest near the Beach Deck area of Jekyll Island, Ga.Rare loggerhead sea turtles are having a record nesting season on the Georgia coast and have been laying eggs in promising numbers on southern Atlantic beaches from Florida to the Carolinas.
