Disposable ‘lab-on-a-chip’ May Save Costs And Lives

Low-cost, disposable cartridges that would let doctors perform diagnostic tests at the point-of-care could speed up diagnosis and treatment while lowering costs.

Researchers are rapidly closing in on that goal.
