(Carbon Disclosure Project) At least 30 US urban centers, including New York City, New Orleans and Las Vegas, will team with the UK-based Carbon Disclosure Project to measure their greenhouse gas emissions and other climate change-relevant data.
Each city will assemble comparable carbon emission data for fire department, ambulance and police services, municipal buildings, waste transport and other services the cities provide or activities over which they exercise budgetary control.
They will also assess and disclose climate change-related risks and opportunities relating to the city.
